its quite obvious that i don't post here as often anymore. i've started a new blog hoping that i would be more candid, personal, and open with my musings. im writing this because i thought i owe at least this much to those who use my xanga as a (maybe only) way to keep up with me. what i write there would be truly who i am instead of these catchy titles and random things u see on my xanga. i intend for it to be a semi-private blog open only to those close to me or interested. i will not openly link to it nor should u try to find it via google (u wont find it) so if u're interested, ask me. as for what ill do with xanga, i dont think ill completely leave it yet, i'll still put something random now and then.
Ahh I love this guy's play over on this latin song. It's not the best there is but it's cool to see people jam over stuff they enjoy. He's a pro rock drummer but open enough to try other stuff. He does it pretty well but you can tell by the rock elements he plays that he's not a latin specialist. Here's his interpretation:
I, like many others, am heartbroken for those families and victims of the Virginia Tech shootings that transpired yesterday. To rattle off the numbers and statistics of the people that perished really does not give this tragedy any justice. Pain and suffering of this magnitude happens daily in places all over this fallen world. It is only by the grace of God that we would still go on living our lives amidst tragedies like this the world over. I'm not going to talk about gun control, terrorists, psychology, or how murderers like the VT shooter deserve the eternal suffering coming to him, but rather I'd like to briefly talk about the hope I saw amidst all the chaos. I saw people at VT so rocked to the core with grief and emotions that they forgot about only caring for themselves. I saw them look to the fellow students next to him and shared their sorrow and grief with them. I saw random people open up their living spaces and apartments for complete strangers whose only ties to them was the same VT student card in their wallet. For they knew the incredible sorrow their fellow Hokie was feeling and didn't want them to face that in solitude. What a great opportunity to love! As much as we'd like to be there personally to comfort those in need, it is even better to pray for them, for our efforts will fail again and again. But our God, in his grace, hears the cries and prayers of his people, and He will not fail.
As hard as it is for our human eyes to see, God is at work in everything according to his perfect will for his honor, glory, and praise. You better believe it.
